The Role
As Account Manager, you’ll manage and grow trade accounts across your territory, making sure our premium pet and equine brands are front of mind for customers. You’ll have the freedom to build strong, lasting relationships, provide first-class category support, and help independent retailers succeed.
This is a field-based role with some travel (up to 4 nights per month) for training, team meetings, and key industry events.
What You’ll Do
- Grow distribution and sales across your region
- Increase active accounts and strengthen relationships with independent retailers
- Deliver engaging product training and customer support
- Execute promotions, campaigns, and merchandising activities
- Keep a close eye on sales data and competitor activity to spot opportunities
- Represent the business at key trade shows and local events
- Sales experience in the Pet Retail sector (independent accounts a big plus)
- Strong track record in account growth and relationship building
- A good understanding of premium brand positioning
- Confident communicator with great organisational skills
- IT savvy (comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems)
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team
