As Marketing Manager, you will drive the marketing strategy across two distinct brands: The Animal People Recruitment Company, a values-led agency specialising in the Pet and Animal Health industries, and The KC Group, a specialist recruitment agency focused on Accountancy, Human Resources, and Business Operations.
 
This is AMAZING role for someone who’s ready to lead, create, measure, and evolve while having a bit of fun along the way.
 
What Makes This Role Special…

  • We’ve just launched two brand-new websites built on a super flexible, user-friendly platform (think Canva for websites). You’ll be able to update and evolve them with ease.
  • Canva is our go-to design tool so you’ll need to be exceptional with Canva to produce slick, on-brand visuals across all platforms.
  • If you’ve got experience in videography, that’s a big plus, we’d love someone who can create short-form content for social media and bring our brand stories to life.
  • You’ll have the chance to travel to exciting trade shows across the pet, veterinary and animal health industries, helping us amplify our presence and connect with our audience in person.

What You’ll Be Doing…
 
As our first full-time Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we show up to the world.
 
You will:
  • Own and execute the marketing strategy across both brands.
  • Manage and grow our digital presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and email campaigns.
  • Conduct research into market insights, produce reports and manage distribution
  • Produce engaging, high-quality content - blogs, whitepapers, case studies, social posts, videos, and more.
  • Plan and run creative, targeted campaigns that drive brand awareness and support our recruitment and business goals.
  • Own our website content and updates using our easy-to-use CMS.
  • Report on performance across channels and use insights to drive future campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with our team to ensure brand messaging aligns with our values of honesty, kindness, and inclusivity.
Who We’re Looking For…

We’re after someone who’s just as comfortable building a campaign plan, writing content as they are creating a carousel post or filming content at an event.
 
You’ll ideally have:
  • Proven experience in a marketing management or senior executive role.
  • Experience in service-based marketing, ideally within recruitment or a people-focused business.
  • Advanced Canva skills (essential) you should be confident designing social graphics, brochures, and web visuals.
  • Excellent content writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Confidence in managing social media platforms and email marketing tools.
  • Strong commercial awareness understanding how marketing supports sales and brand reputation.
  • Bonus if you have videography skills and experience creating content for Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn etc.
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude—you’ll be leading the function and encouraged to try new things.
  • Ability to attend in-person meetings at our Solihull HQ and travel to events as needed.
