Key Account Manager – Veterinary & Healthcare Supplies Location: UK (Hybrid / Field-Based)

The Role:
As a Key Account Manager, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of key clients - from corporate and buying groups to independent practices. You’ll be responsible for driving sales performance, developing relationships, and creating growth strategies that deliver tangible results.
You’ll work closely with your customers to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and strengthen long-term partnerships. This is a role where your impact will be visible - and your success recognised.
Salary: £30K - £60K (doe) + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Please note the salary range reflects the fact that the company is prepared to support someone who is looking to develop their sales career or hire someone who has extensive experience within Veterinary sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse client spend and performance data to identify new business opportunities
- Re-engage with underperforming accounts and deliver targeted upselling strategies
- Build strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers across surgeries, practices, and group head offices
- Present regular business reviews and quarterly updates
- Handle escalated customer service issues with professionalism and care
- Develop and implement business plans to meet and exceed client KPIs
- Collaborate with marketing to drive effective digital and offline campaigns
- Monitor competitor pricing and market activity to stay ahead of the game
- Proven experience in sales or account management – ideally within veterinary, medical, or healthcare consumables
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Organised and results-driven, with excellent time management
- Analytical mindset – able to interpret data and turn insights into action
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of the veterinary market or medical supplies industry is highly desirable
