NOW HIRING: NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPER – PET INDUSTRY
Central London (3 days in office: Mon, Tues, Thurs and the rest from home)
Full-time, Hybrid role paying £35,000–£45,000 (DOE) + Stock Options and benefits (listed at the bottom of this advert!)
We’re working with a fast-growing, innovative business in the pet sector that’s transforming how pet owners engage with their furry family members. They’re on a mission to develop thoughtful, high-quality products across food, accessories, and more designed by pet lovers, for pet lovers.
As part of a small and passionate NPD team, you’ll work directly with the Head of Product Development to bring exciting new ideas to life across both consumable and non-food categories. From early concept through to launch, this is a hands-on, cross-functional role with plenty of visibility and real ownership.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing projects end-to-end across NPD, including food, accessories, packaging, and seasonal launches
- Evaluating samples and liaising with global suppliers (travel required)
- Tracking timelines, supporting launches, and collaborating across marketing, supply chain, and production teams
- Reviewing packaging, ensuring compliance with UK regulations
- Researching new product opportunities, competitors, and market trends
- Contributing to new ideas that meet both customer need and brand values
- Has 2–4 years of experience in product development, buying, or category management
- Brings strong project management and organisational skills
- Has worked in the pet industry or has a personal, deep-rooted passion for pets
- Is confident handling supplier relationships and bringing new ideas to the table
- Has a commercial mindset and attention to detail
- Feels confident working closely with a small, agile team
