What our client is looking for:
Our client who have a farm in South Yorkshire and produce premium products for the Equestrian and Small Animal Market, are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Operations Manager to join their growing team. As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in optimising production efficiency, managing operations seamlessly, and driving continuous improvement across the site. You’ll be part of small but hard working team who all strive for a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing 3 baling machines for equestrian and pet market
- Project management of installation of a new baling machine from building preparation to assisting with install, including very occasional travel to Europe to machine manufacturers site
- Responsible for all maintenance, breakdown recovery, service of all machines
- Raw materials management including purchasing and stock management
- Management duties - recruit team, HR, performance and onboarding, shift planning
- Lead, motivate, and empower teams to achieve site business objectives and KPIs
- Responsible for creating and upholding all technical documents, audit standards and accreditation standards including traceability
- Health and safety
- Manage key metrics, including cost of production, overheads, yields, and service levels.
We invite candidates who have:
- Experience in production and warehouse management within an FMCG environment
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A Full UK driving license required
- A Forklift license desirable
- Are commutable to our client’s site in South Yorkshire, Doncaster – this is full time site based role.
Package: Base salary up to £60K per annum (d.o.e), Pension, 25 days hols plus Bank holidays, Company performance bonus.
