Product Manager – Pet Treats

Do you have the sharp commercial mindset of a buyer, the precision of a project manager, and a love for pets? We’re representing a fast-growing pet brand (recently acquired by a major consumer goods group) on the lookout for an exceptional Product Manager to join their high-energy Treats team.
 
As the business evolves from a family-run heritage into a more structured, corporate environment, this is your chance to shape innovation across seasonal and everyday pet treat ranges – from idea to shelf.
 
What you'll be doing in this role...
 
You’ll play a central role in developing new products across own label and branded treats – combining creativity, compliance, and commercial acumen.

• Lead on product innovation through market analysis, competitor reviews, and customer insights
• Manage projects for major retailers (including multi-million-pound tenders)
• Develop product briefs, packaging, and POS in partnership with design & marketing
• Build and maintain relationships with global suppliers – particularly in Asia
• Collaborate with Sales and NPD to deliver customer-specific ranges, seasonal collections, and special editions (Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.)
• Ensure accuracy in product specs, data systems, compliance, and legal documentation
• Support presentations and customer meetings with insight, samples, and commercial detail

• Experience in product management, NPD, buying, or category ideally in FMCG or pet care
• Exceptional communication, organisation, and supplier relationship skills
• Confidence working with teams across design, sales, and marketing
• Strong understanding of compliance, packaging, and pricing

• £50K+ base salary (with scope for the right candidate)
• £4,875 car allowance
