The Animal People Recruitment Company are partnering with an ambitious and well-funded digital business in the pet sector that is building a connected ecosystem of services designed to support pet owners throughout their entire journey from everyday care through to technology and services that make responsible pet ownership easier.
 
Their platforms already reach hundreds of thousands of pet owners across the UK and, with significant investment behind them, they are now entering an exciting growth phase.

As part of that growth, they are looking to appoint a Brand & Communications Lead  who can combine creativity with commercial thinking and turn brand activity into measurable impact.
 
The Opportunity
This isn't a traditional "brand guardian" role.
 
This is about building a brand that performs.
 
You will shape how this growing ecosystem shows up across every touchpoint, from campaigns, partnerships, storytelling and digital channels, through to ensuring brand activity contributes directly to growth, engagement and customer acquisition.
 
You'll work closely with the leadership team in a fast-moving, startup-style environment where ideas move quickly and great thinking gets implemented fast.

What You'll Be Doing
- Owning and shaping the brand strategy across a growing ecosystem of pet platforms
- Creating and delivering multi-channel campaigns that blend storytelling with measurable results
- Working closely with the Growth team to ensure brand activity supports customer acquisition and engagement
- Managing and mentoring a small creative team
- Overseeing creative output across social, web, partnerships, PR, events and co-marketing activity
- Identifying and developing high-impact partnerships within the pet industry and beyond
- Tracking campaign performance and brand metrics to ensure activity delivers real commercial impact
- Driving a test-and-learn culture, using data and experimentation to continuously improve creative output
 
The Kind of Person We're Looking For
This role would suit someone who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and enjoys building brands that actually move the needle.
 
You'll likely bring:
- 5+ years experience in brand, communications or growth marketing
- Experience running multi-channel campaigns that drive measurable results
- Strong commercial awareness and comfort working with campaign data and performance metrics
- Experience managing creative output across multiple platforms
- Confidence building and managing strategic partnerships
- A proactive mindset - someone who enjoys testing, learning and iterating quickly
 
Experience within the pet industry, insurance, healthtech or another regulated sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
 
What matters most is someone who is curious, commercially minded and excited by the opportunity to build something meaningful in the pet space.
