Executive Assistant & HR Administrator
Hertfordshire | £35,000 - £40,000 DOE | Full Time | Office Based

The Animal People Recruitment Company is delighted to be partnering with an innovative, high-growth business on the appointment of a brand-new Executive Assistant & HR Administrator position.

Created as a result of continued growth, this is a unique opportunity to become the trusted right-hand support to the Founder and Managing Director whilst helping coordinate the people processes that support a growing team.
This is not a traditional HR role.

Approximately 60% of the position will focus on Executive Assistant responsibilities, supporting the Founder with diary management, meetings, projects, travel arrangements and helping ensure priorities stay on track. The remaining 40% will support the employee experience through recruitment coordination, onboarding, HR administration and wider people processes.
Working across a team of 14 office-based employees and 8 warehouse employees, you'll become a central point of support, helping create structure, organisation and a positive employee experience as the business continues to grow.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being the person people rely on. Someone who is naturally organised, proactive and enjoys variety. You'll thrive in an SME environment where no two days are the same and where you'll genuinely have the opportunity to make a difference.

You'll likely bring:

• Experience supporting senior leaders, directors or business owners
• Previous experience within HR administration, people coordination or a similar support role
• Experience working within an SME or growing business environment
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and confidence handling confidential information
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership

In return, you'll receive:

• £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
• 33 days holiday including bank holidays
• Flexible working hours with core hours of 10:00am – 4:30pm
• A collaborative and supportive culture
• The opportunity to work closely with the Founder and leadership team
• The chance to make a significant impact within a high-growth business
• Genuine opportunity to grow alongside the company

If you're looking for a varied position where you can become a trusted extension of the leadership team and play an important role in supporting a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
