As the company enters its next phase of expansion, they are investing in strengthening its finance function to provide greater visibility, forecasting, and financial control across the organisation.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function within a growing and entrepreneurial business.
Working closely with the Managing Director, this role will play a key part in bringing structure, financial visibility and planning to support the company’s continued growth.
This position offers the opportunity to shape and develop the finance function, with the potential for the role to evolve into a Financial Controller position as the business continues to scale.
This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on SME environment, where they can improve processes, strengthen reporting and contribute to commercial decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function and manage the existing finance team
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Develop cashflow forecasting and improve financial visibility
- Introduce stronger budgeting processes and financial controls
- Provide financial insight to support leadership decision making
- Partner with the business on margin analysis, purchasing and cost control
- Improve finance systems, reporting tools and processes
- Support business growth through forecasting and financial planning
What We're Looking For
Experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar role, ideally within a growing SME environment.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience with:
- Management accounts and financial reporting
- Cashflow forecasting and budgeting
- Improving financial processes and financial controls
- Working closely with leadership teams to support decision making
- Experience in product-based, manufacturing, consumer goods or stock-led businesses would be advantageous.
