Regional Sales Manager - Scotland
OTE £70,000 | Company Car | Build & Lead a High-Performing Sales Team

The Animal People Recruitment Company is proud to be partnering with a high-growth, premium pet food brand to recruit a Regional Sales Manager for Scotland.

This is not a support role. This is a front-line sales leadership position with full commercial ownership.

You will be the first sales leader in Scotland, responsible for driving revenue, building a team, and owning performance in the field. You will personally sell, recruit, coach, and scale — creating a high-performing, repeatable sales operation from day one.

This role offers genuine autonomy, strong earning potential, and a clear pathway into senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
As Regional Sales Manager, you will:
  • Own and deliver sales performance across Scotland, including revenue, targets, and growth
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of field sales representatives / brand ambassadors
  • Lead from the front, actively selling in field sales and event-based environments
  • Drive customer acquisition, conversion rates, and sales KPIs
  • Plan and execute sales activations, campaigns, and events
  • Monitor and analyse sales data, dashboards, and pipeline performance
  • Coach and develop your team, improving both consistency and results
  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape regional strategy and expansion
In the early stages, this is a hands-on role. You will be setting up stands, selling product, and coaching in real time. Weekend work will be required initially, with time off in lieu provided.
About You
We are looking for a proven sales professional with leadership capability.
You will be:
  • Experienced in field sales, territory sales, or regional sales roles
  • Successful in B2C sales, direct sales, events, or high-volume environments
  • Comfortable managing, mentoring, or leading a sales team
  • Target-driven, commercially minded, and confident working with KPIs and conversion metrics
  • Motivated by performance, accountability, and results
You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where ownership and impact matter.

What Sets You Apart
  • A consistent track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Experience recruiting, training, or building sales teams
  • Strong coaching and performance management skills
  • Confidence using data, dashboards, and CRM systems to drive performance
  • A competitive mindset with the ability to lead from the front
Desirable (not essential):
  • Field sales or event-based sales experience
  • Experience in a start-up, scale-up, or high-growth business
  • Recognition as a top performer or sales leader within your organisation
Location Requirements
  • Based in Scotland, within 1 hour of Glasgow or Edinburgh
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Willingness to travel across the region
Package
  • £70,000 OTE (£40,000 basic salary + uncapped bonus)
  • Company car
  • Company equipment, mobile phone, and expenses card
  • Flexible time off to support weekend working (TOIL)
  • Clear progression into senior leadership roles
  • Additional benefits including product allowance
Why Join This Business
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, premium consumer brand at a critical stage of expansion.
You will have the chance to:
  • Build and lead your own regional sales team from the ground up
  • Take full ownership of a high-potential territory
  • Work in a business that values performance, pace, and progression
  • Be recognised and rewarded based on results
