Are you an experienced sales leader with a strong understanding of the agricultural sector and a passion for building high-performing teams and customer relationships?

We’re partnering with a well-established and growing business within the agricultural and rural retail sector to appoint a Regional Sales Manager based in Dumfries.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility across both an on-farm sales team and a network of country stores throughout the region.

The successful candidate will bring strong commercial leadership experience alongside a solid understanding of agricultural products and farming customers. Knowledge of areas such as animal feed, animal health, nutrition, medicines and farming supplies will be highly advantageous.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with both field-based sales teams and retail store colleagues to drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships and create a proactive, commercially focused culture across the region.

A strong local presence is essential, with a minimum of three days per week based in Dumfries alongside regular regional travel.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading and developing both the on-farm sales team and country store performance
  • Driving sales growth across a broad agricultural product range
  • Managing and growing key customer relationships within the farming community
  • Coaching teams to improve sales focus, accountability and commercial performance
  • Building stronger links between field sales activity and retail operations
  • Using customer and sales data to identify opportunities and drive performance
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven sales leadership and team management experience
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive sales growth
  • Experience selling a broad agricultural or rural product range
  • Knowledge of animal feed, animal health, nutrition, medicines and farming supplies
  • Strong relationship-building and coaching skills
  • A hands-on, resilient and commercially driven leadership style
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
