We're looking for someone who enjoys being out with customers, understands how to develop long-term partnerships and has the energy and ambition to grow both existing and new business.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk managing emails. It's an opportunity for someone who enjoys getting in front of customers, identifying opportunities and driving commercial growth.
The Opportunity
This is a field-based commercial role where you'll take ownership of the wholesale and independent retail channel, developing strong customer relationships whilst identifying opportunities to increase sales, expand distribution and grow market share.
You'll inherit established customer relationships, but success in this role will come from your ability to build trust, uncover opportunities and proactively develop business. You'll spend your time visiting customers, understanding their challenges, recommending solutions and becoming a genuine commercial partner.
Working closely with the National Account team, you'll play a key role in growing this important channel, giving you the autonomy to shape your territory and make a measurable impact on the business.
This opportunity would particularly suit an ambitious Area Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager or Business Development Manager looking to step into a broader commercial role where they can take ownership of a channel, build long-term customer partnerships and continue developing their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen relationships with wholesale partners and independent retailers.
- Drive growth across existing customer accounts by identifying new commercial opportunities.
- Generate new business opportunities across the wholesale and independent retail channel.
- Increase product distribution and maximise sales opportunities.
- Visit customers regularly, delivering commercial reviews and building trusted partnerships.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows and industry events.
- Monitor market activity and identify opportunities to support continued commercial growth.

This is a hybrid role with three days per week based at the company's head office in Goole, alongside regular travel to customers across the UK.
