Our New “Refer a Friend” Scheme Is Here – Help Someone Find Their Dream Role (and Get Rewarded!)

We’re thrilled to officially launch our brand-new Refer a Friend Scheme – a chance for you to help someone in your network take the next step in their career and get rewarded at the same time.

As many of you know, the pet and animal health industry is filled with incredible, talented people. Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to build a community of Animal People who are passionate, supportive, and genuinely want to see each other succeed.

This new scheme is just one more way we’re working to make our industry better through recruitment done differently – values-led, people-first, and rooted in kindness, honesty, and inclusivity.

How It Works

If you know someone who would be perfect for one of our live roles, simply refer them via the Refer a Friend page on our website.

If they are successfully placed, you’ll receive a £250 Amazon voucher 8 weeks after they start. It’s our way of saying thank you for supporting great people into great opportunities.

Here’s the step-by-step...

  1. Head to our Refer a Friend page
  2. Choose the specific live role your friend is suitable for
  3. Fill out the short form and submit
  4. If they’re placed – we’ll send you a £250 Amazon voucher after 8 weeks in the role

Please Note: This Scheme Applies to Specific Roles Only!

To qualify for the reward, the referral must be linked to a current, live vacancy listed on our website. You’ll need to select the relevant role when completing the form – so please make sure to check what’s live before submitting.

Why We’re Doing This

At The Animal People Recruitment Company, we believe in doing recruitment differently. That means building relationships, living our values, and making a positive impact across the pet and animal health industries.

This referral scheme is more than just a reward – it’s about continuing to grow a connected, supportive community of professionals who care deeply about the work they do and the difference they make.

Ready to Refer?

Whether it’s a former colleague, industry connection, or just someone brilliant you know – if they’re perfect for one of our live roles, we want to hear about them.

Key takeaways from the PIF Business Conference Last week, I attended a series of expert-led sessions hosted by Bird & Bird , in partnership with the Pet Industry Federation (PIF) , focused on a challenge that’s still very real for our industry: exporting pet products from the UK into the EU post‑Brexit . First, a genuine thank you to PIF for the invitation and for bringing businesses together to talk openly about what’s working, what isn’t, and where the risks really sit. These conversations matter , because exporting into Europe today is not what it was five years ago, and pretending otherwise helps no one.
